Aaand, she's off!
Mariel crossed the pond just about a week ago, but not without a proper send-off. Her mom hosted quite the party honoring every Oregonian's favorite Olympian.
I'm pretty bummed I won't be there in-person to watch her take a stab at her third gold medal, but you better believe I'll be wearing my red, white, and blue loud and proud here in the Rose City. Good luck to MZ, one of the best friends--and clearly the best fencer--out there.
